Las Minas is a special lot from the Tri S farm in the Minas Gerais state in Brazil. Expertly run by Silvia Nishikawa, the Tri S farm is part of the Sustainably Sourced and Supplied certification program, a regional governmental initiative. The program focuses on the suspension of deforestation, the implementation of socially responsible agricultural practices as well as the adoption of new technology and management for sustainable agriculture.
Silvia Nishikawa, a part of the Japanese-Brazilian community, is renowned for producing extremely high quality coffee in the Minas Gerais region.
The nose is immediately charming with a blend of white flowers and stewed cherries — the palate has a distinct yellow plum impression with well balanced acidity. Roasted almonds combined with the impression of burnt sugar and dutch chocolate to give a round and complete finish.
